A full-time middle school teacher, Janette’s love affair with glass began in childhood, when she was captivated by a beautiful glass paperweight belonging to her grandparents. In 2020, after receiving an Eli Lilly Teacher Creativity Grant, she turned that lifelong fascination into Glass Half Full.

Janette creates fused glass art inspired by the interplay of color and light. Her work celebrates whimsy, beauty, and the unexpected possibilities of glass, transforming her enduring fascination into pieces that invite joy and curiosity. She is passionate about continually learning, experimenting, and refining her craft, embracing each new technique as an opportunity for creative growth.

Through her artwork and teaching, Janette hopes to share the beauty and possibilities of fused glass with others, inspiring them to discover the joy of kiln-formed glass.
