Established in 2020, Glass Half Full was founded after JanetteI was awarded an Eli Lilly Teacher Creativity Grant. A full-time elementary teacher since 1991, her dream of being a glass artisan began to take shape as she immersed herself in learning fused glass techniques through classes and experimentation, thanks to the generous backing of the Lilly Foundation.

Janette's love affair with glass began when she was a little girl who was transfixed by a beautiful glass paperweight that belonged to her grandparents.  As a young adult, Janette stepped into the world of creating glass art when her mother kindly joined her in a stained glass class.  

After receiving her Lilly grant, Janette expanded Into the world of fused glass and has been mesmerized by it ever since. Janette's goal is to share her passion for glass art with others.

In a desire to give back a portion of the amazing blessings she has received, Janette allocates a portion of her sales to support causes dear to her heart.
